Mulberry Grove Primary School has started the new school year on a high note with the unveiling of its newly resurfaced courts. The significant upgrade was made possible through a grant from the Great Barrier Local Board, which has revitalized the school’s outdoor sports facilities with a vibrant new look.

The stunning turquoise court, freshly painted with crisp white lines, are set against the picturesque backdrop of the bay adjacent to the school. The project was completed by Top Coat, whose team, led by Romeo, went above and beyond by also water blasting the school and SEA shed.

Principal Ally Gibbs expressed gratitude for the timely completion of the project, emphasizing the importance of the Local Board’s support. “Almost there, folks, in time for the start of the school year. Big thanks to Romeo and his team from Top Coat. Couldn’t have done it without the Great Barrier Local Board Grant. Looking Flash,” she remarked with enthusiasm.

Izzy Fordham, the Local Board Chair, reflected on the dire need for the court’s restoration, stating, “There was no doubt about it, the Mulberry Grove School court was in dire need of a facelift. The local board was pleased to be able to assist the school in achieving their goal of a court resurface so that the students can enjoy a variety of outdoor sports and activities. The new court is looking fabulous, and I’m sure the students will have a lot of fun enjoying it.”
