Aotea Army Brings Cheer to Kate Langford
In another display of the generous spirit that defines our community, the Aotea Army, led by Leon Foster, organized a successful working bee at Kate Langford’s home last Sunday.
Kate expressed her heartfelt gratitude, stating: “Wow! What a difference! Huge gratitude to Leon and the Aotea Army for all the incredible hard mahi you have all contributed to making our jungle into a beautifully tamed garden.”
The Aotea Army tackled a range of tasks, including mowing, weeding, clearing steps, removing rubbish, and chainsawing overhanging branches.
Kate continued, “The great effort was so appreciated by my Family and myself. Our deepest appreciation to you all and a Blessed and Merry Christmas and festive season to you and your Whanau! And thank you to those of you who also brought along food to share! Also thank you to My Fat Puku for your very lovely gift vouchers!”
This heartwarming act of community support demonstrates the incredible spirit of cooperation and kindness that makes the Great Barrier Island such a special place to live.
