The Ngāti Rehua – Ngātiwai ki Aotea Trust Board has announced its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the election for three (3) Trustees.
The two-day event will take place on Friday, December 5 and Saturday, December 6, 2025 , from 9 am to 6 pm at Kawa Marae on Aotea-Great Barrier Island.
The election for three Trustee positions will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025. The Board is calling for nominations for these roles.
A key rule for the election is that at least one of the successful candidates must be a permanent resident of Aotea-Great Barrier Island. Candidate eligibility criteria are listed on the nomination paper.
Completed nominations can be scanned and emailed to ngatirehua@electionservices.co.nz. They must be received no later than 5 pm, Monday, November 24, 2025.
Voting will be done in person by secret ballot at the AGM , starting at 10 am on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Only Adult Registered Members who attend the AGM in person on that Saturday are eligible to vote. Voting will close at 2 pm on Saturday, December 6, 2025.
Registered members who cannot attend can appoint a proxy to vote for them using the official proxy form. Electronic proxy forms sent to ngatirehua@electionservices.co.nz must be received by the Returning Office no later than 4 pm on Thursday, December 4, 2025. Hand-delivered proxy forms will be accepted until 12 pm on Saturday, December 6, 2025, the day of the AGM.
