Concrete Truck Plunges Down Bank on Medland Road

An Aotea Contractors concrete truck went off the roadside between Tryphena and Medlands on Friday, prompting a multi-agency response from St John, Police and FENZ.

The company said crews secured the scene and ensured the driver was brought to safety, and they were hopeful he would be home by Sunday. Aotea Contractors also thanked its staff for their efforts during the incident and the community for its patience and support throughout the day.

The crash site remains an “unsafe and active accident scene”, and members of the public are being asked not to approach the truck.
