TV Host Turned Farmer Shares Mental Health Tips on Aotea Tour

TV presenter turned sheep and beef farmer Matt Chisholm is set to visit Great Barrier Island on May 30th to share his personal journey through mental health struggles and resilience. Known for hosting Treasure Island and reporting for TVNZ’s Sunday, Chisholm is now the inaugural Ambassador for the Rural Support Trust.

The Time Out Tour, supported by Rural Support Trusts across New Zealand, aims to spark conversations about mental health within rural communities. Chisholm will share experiences and the tools he uses to manage anxiety and stay mentally fit. The event is informative but also an opportunity for the community to connect and support each other.

  • Doors Open: 5:00 pm
  • Buffet Dinner: 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
  • Programme Begins: 7:00 pm
  • Cost: $10 per person (Tickets are very limited and essential. This event is strictly R15.)
